The 50th Anniversary of the UJA Walk with Israel on Victoria Day, May 20, 2019 is shaping up to be our most exciting event ever!

In honour of this special milestone, the Walk is moving back up North to its roots in the heart of the Jewish community along Bathurst Street in North York. The celebrations will continue all day long as a one-kilometre stretch of Bathurst closes to traffic for the first-ever Bathurst Street Fest!

You can drive, bike, take public transit or walk as long as you arrive at Earl Bales Park by 9.00 a.m. in time to join in the fun! Remember to leave yourself lots of travel time as there may be heavy traffic and several street closures to accommodate 20,000 people and the new Walk route.

PUBLIC TRANSIT:

RIDING THE ROCKET: The TTC’s Holiday Monday service begins at 6.00 a.m., so there are two ways to get to Earl Bales Park on time!
From Downsview Subway Station: Take the Sheppard East bus to Bathurst Street. Get off at Bathurst Street at the corner of Sheppard Avenue. From there you are a short walk south to Earl Bales Park.
From Sheppard-Yonge Subway Station: Take the Sheppard West bus to Bathurst Street. Get off at Bathurst Street at the corner of Sheppard Avenue. From there you are a short walk south to Earl Bales Park.
Be sure to consult the TTC’s schedule at ttc.ca/Routes for best directions from your home.

As TTC service to the Walk is easily accessible, there will not be any Shuttle Bus service to the Walk this year.

YOUR OWN VEHICLE:

Driving to this year's Walk? We recommend carpooling, as there are no public parking lots and limited parking available on residential streets in the vicinity of Earl Bales Park and the Walk route. We advise against parking in Earl Bales Park to avoid congestion. Regardless of where you park, please pay attention to all parking signs to avoid getting a ticket.
